The Development of “I” is a brief collection of fractalized desperation songs. The inner shaman voice was extracted and distilled into these Rorschach patterns of the subconscious. The same dark, wild period of my life that produced “In Public” also produced these quieter, less kinetic recordings. On this EP, my voice is more naked than it has ever been. The title refers both to this and to the endless flow of evolving musical improvisation it is possible to bring forth simply by opening one’s mouth. I feel this flow to be a blessing that provides infinite and ongoing insight into the self and its changes.
