This album was originally begun in 2009 around the same time as "Revelation Season" and "Imperial World" were created, hence its release under the Glasscutter moniker. All of the instrumentals were completed during this time, and I've just recently finally gotten around to adding in the vocal work. I almost threw these songs out for good several times, but ultimately kept returning to them as significant compositions.

It's a mellow, sundrenched springtime album with a lot of minimal chillout flavor, more subdued and welcoming than its predecessors, and more clearly inspired by the mesmerizing reptition of the downtempo and rave music I was just beginning to immerse myself in at the time.

The vocals lend it a more personal and melancholy element. Many of the lyrics were written back in 2009, but new lyrics were written for songs that never had complete lyrics back in the day, such as "One Day, If Only" and "She Has All Four Seasons".

Many of the song titles were originally imagined during a stay of mine in Portland with a girl I was seeing at the time. Ironically "Chocolate Strawberries (For the Baby)", which was composed as I sat naked on her bedroom floor, was one of these names, conceived of years before I ever dreamed I'd actually have a baby. I'm very glad this woman did not end up being my child's mother.

"The Sleeping Pain" was actually composed in about 5 minutes at Glenn Sound studios during my Protools 101 class, made from stretched samples of voice and the Rhodes plugin they had. Sometimes quick sketches come out complete.

There were still other pieces created in this time period as well, so expect a part "B" soon. "Last Arrival B" will be the final Glasscutter release, as it just wouldn't seem right to call anything I started now Glasscutter.

There were actually several more sequenced piano interludes along the lines of "White Knight Complex" but these were lost, and are actually the only tracks of mine that have ever been lost.
